Liddy calls stumps

Liddy Clark, AKA the ‘human megaphone’ has retired from competitive women’s cricket following the last round of cricket for 2020.

Liddy has made an unprecedented contribution to Women's cricket at CHCC. Her commitment and determination to create a Women's presence at the Hillers has seen them field their very first senior women’s team in the Northern Metro Cricket Associations, Lenore Smith Shield Competition in 2017.

Legendary Liddy Clark

In a few short seasons, Liddy has made an incredible contribution to Clifton Hill CC, and has been a driving force in the inauguration and success of our women’s teams.

Since then, Liddy's tenacity and passion has been a driving force in the Women winning multiple grand finals, expansion to two senior women’s sides and strong female cricket representation on the Clifton Hill Cricket Club Committee. Elevation this season for CHCC Women, playing in the Cricket Victoria Women’s Community Cricket Competition has been but one of many highlights.

Liddy has created a place for Women to compete, learn, connect with the community and create lasting friendships. Her commentary, opinions, enthusiasm and iconic bat leaning will be sorely missed. Thank you Liddy, you have truly made a lasting contribution, not only to the Clifton Hill Cricket Club but the broader Clifton Hill community!
