Junior Registrations Now Open

The days are getting longer and there is a hint of Spring in the air. Welcome to the 2022/23 cricket season!

Registrations with Clifton Hill Junior Cricket club are now open.

This year we will be fielding teams in the Mixed U16, U14, U12 and U10 competitions. We will also have pre-Stage 1 Girls and Stage 2 Girls teams and, for kids of all skills and abilities between 5 and 8 years, our Blasters program.

Training for most age groups will start in September with matches to commence in early October.

Welcome Day /Cricket Gear Swap Meet

If your child or any of their friends would like the opportunity to try cricket before signing up for a team, please join us on our Season 22/23 Welcome Day. Time and date to be announced.

The nets will be open, our coaches will be running a “Come and Try” cricket program and there will be a sausage sizzle for the kids. The club will also be organising a cricket gear swap meet for players to donate old gear and have a look if there is something they need for the new season. Don’t worry if you don’t have gear to donate, the gear is available for all.

Fees – special offer for U10s and girls’ teams

This season we are offering a special low fee of $125 for U10s and ALL girls. In addition, in keeping with our policy of keeping costs to a minimum, we will be maintaining the same fee levels as last season for all other mixed teams ($225 for 1st child / $175 for siblings) and Blasters ($99).

As with previous seasons the club will consider financial hardship applications in relation to fees. Kids aged 4 to 18 who are named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card may be eligible for a rebate of up to $200 as part of the Victorian Government’s Get Active Kids Voucher Program.

Andrew Walton

We are pleased to announce that, once again, Andrew Walton will be leading our junior club coaching development program. Andrew is a Cricket Australia Level 3 coach and the head of coaching for Cricket Mentoring in Victoria. We are delighted that Andrew will back to help develop the base level of skills for all our players and help promote inclusive and enjoyable cricket activity at the club.
