Seeking Senior Women’s Coach 2021/22

Clifton Hill Cricket Club is seeking a playing or non-playing Senior Women’s Coach and an Assistant Coach for training & game day. We seek the services of an organised, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about cricket, and an advocate for women’s inclusion in sport. Strong batting and/or bowling skill set is preferred. You will be supported by a Women’s sub-committee and the club committee, who are committed to the ongoing growth and sustainability of our Women’s teams.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to plan and deliver coaching programmes on both a team & individual level including wicket keepers

  • Ability to work with & develop players of all ages & stages, from beginner through to higher level ability

  • Ability to develop strategy & game tactics with all teams & players, to help teams operate independently during the game

  • Ability to assist with developing and transitioning junior female players into our senior program

  • Ability to assess game performances & structure training around game assessment

  • Previous coaching experience & minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification or prepared to obtain (the club will support this)

  • Hold a current working with children check (or prepared to obtain such prior to commencing)

Remuneration negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Senior Women Coach Position Description (head & assistant coach)

  • Coach or player coach

  • Passionate about cricket & an advocate for women’s inclusion in sport

  • Willingness to work with & develop players of all ages & stages, from beginner through to higher level ability

  • Ability to communicate with people in a positive & enthusiastic manner

  • Committed to attend training sessions

  • Outstanding communication & organizational skills

  • Support & upskilling of team captains

  • Develop strategy & game tactics with all teams & players

  • Create strong relationships with players & other club members/associated parties

  • Plan and deliver coaching programmes on both a team & individual level including wicketkeepers

  • Assist with developing and transitioning junior female players into our senior program

  • Work with the women’s sub committee to create a selection policy

  • Select the teams on a weekly basis alongside the team captains whilst implementing the selection policy (including assisting with high level batting & bowling orders & fielding placements)

  • Committed to attend games & provide feedback to the team, individuals & captains

  • Assess game performances & structure training around game assessment

  • Previous coaching experience & minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification or prepared to obtain (the club will support this)

  • Hold a current working with children check (or prepared to obtain such prior to commencing)
